Election Results--What do we do now?

Hey Neergs,

I know, the election results are very disappointing. Total bummer, the Dems lost the House of Representatives, which is where most new legislation happens. But we need to keep our eyes open and understand our current position in order to take meaningful action. What do we know? 

  • The  Republicans are bent on winning both houses and the presidency two years from now.

Stop the Climate Deniers!

Hey Neergs!

Okay, I admit it.  I just don't get it! Why isn't our congress doing more to stop global warming? Climate science is irrefutable at this point, unless your are a "flat earther." And why aren't the voters (our families) holding our elected officials accountable? I was listening to NPR radio on the way to school today and was alarmed to hear that the Republican party is likely to grab a majority of seats in the House of Representatives as a result of today's election. Hey Neergs--

Hope you had time to join us last week as we learned more about Esben and Karsten's amiiko website. We were amazed by the statistics and the impact of consumerism on our planet.  We learned that voting with our wallets and buying green is not enough--we need to kick it up a notch and research "fair trade" products.
